Midnight Season 1 over

And with three level 90s we start the new season 2 :). I mainly do delves and the void events to get me some new gear, the cycle beings again. The 1st few weeks are the most exciting because there are some new tweaks and events, and almost every run and loot chest gives you an upgrade. From there on out, its usually small upgrades.

Also season 2 and patch 12.1 brings a new island ‘Coiled Isle’. It’s not very spectacular, though quite big in size. Did few quests there and 2 new delves with Zendrella. The campaign quests aren’t too bad, until you encounter the new, and I might say horrible, ‘indoor’ multiplayer area the Vault of Atul’Utek. I spend a few hours there and I’ll never set foot in there again. It’s completely unclear what to do, and also there aren’t enough people to do anything. The mobs are way too strong, even with about 4 or 5 people you get your ass kicked and have to corpse run and die again. Judging from the comments on wowhead, i am not the only one who isn’t a fan.

Luckily there is plenty to do elsewhere. Still have a few levels 82 / 83 as well that i might want to level plus plenty of other games to play. So onward we go!

Level 90 at last

A few weeks back I reached level 90 finally. It does take quite a bit of XP, even with rested XP! I finished the main story a little later which unlocks a lot of things, that benefits alts leveling as well. World Quests, side quests etc.

So what I do now, is do enough delves and world events with Zendrella to get gear from the vault weekly, and level other characters using world quests, delves and side quests for the sojourner achievements. At the moment my hunter and druid. There are a load of quests in each zone, apart from the main quest, and there is so much to do now.

There are void assaults now, that lead to a big assault (you can check the progress on the map). The points earned can be used to buy random heroic and champion level gear. There are also ritual sites now, which are a little like Delves, but with their own progression system and related quests. They’re more like solo instanced open spaces though from what i saw so far. And the hunt system, which i tried a few times, but didn’t really find very enjoyable.

Also of course still the ‘old fashioned’ raids and dungeons. Only did a few dugeons for the weekly with NPC companions, which is ok. A bit too much trash mobs to be honest, I prefer to run delves so far. Wow is in a good place at the moment as far as I am concerned, lots to do and classes seem fun so far. To be continued :).

Start of Midnight

So far so good! I started with Zendrella the Warlock and blood elf. She started in the old Silvermoon City all those years ago, it seemed appropriate to start with her this expansion in the new Silvermoon City.

I am now lvl 85 with some casual leveling and in the second (Troll) zone. Eversong Woods looked awesome to be honest. The Troll zone is very ‘jungly’ and I am not so sure about the story, but the gameplay is fun. I finished 4 delves so far, and they were all pretty good. Around 15mins, just what you’d like. Minutes before midnight

Midnight is almost upon us, for those that didn’t pay extra to enter a few days earlier ;). Cleaned out bankspace. Disenchanted old gear from the warband tab in the bank, and sold off extra items. So we’re good to go :). So far I am reading good things about the expansion so it should be fun!

I managed to level up more alts to 80 during the pre expansion event. The event wasn’t very exciting, but it was ok. Mainly the arms warriror that i havent played in quite a while was a lot of fun. I might use her more often!

I did manage to also level up my Alliance demonhunter on one of the last days of Remix. My 1st max level alliance character, which netted me a few achievement. That gives me a chance to check out the stories from ‘the other side as well’.
